One thing worth knowing: the calendar is a helpful starting point, not a binding contract. Dates can shift. We always confirm availability after you inquire before anything is official.

Step 2 – Tell us about your day.

See your date in blue/green? Good. Send us the details below and we will get back to you within 48 hours – usually faster. Kate reads every single inquiry personally. No templates, no assistant filtering your message before it reaches us. You will get a response letting you know it has hit our inbox, though.

Not sure what to write? Just tell us your date, your venue if you have one, and one thing about your wedding you are most excited about. That is enough to start.

Here’s what happens next.

Simple and fast. No hoops.

You send the inquiry.
Kate confirms availability – usually within 48 hours, often same day.
We schedule a Zoom or phone call to make sure we are a good fit for each other. No pressure either direction.
If it feels right, we send a contract and invoice. You sign, pay the retainer, and your date is officially held.
You get immediate access to the Wedding Planning Concierge Portal and Kate is in your corner from that moment forward.

That is it. Start to finish, most couples go from first inquiry to officially booked within a week.

Questions people actually ask.

The existing FAQ on this page is good. Keep all five questions. The answers need minor voice updates only – not full rewrites. Specific changes noted below for each.

Can we hold a date just by asking?

No – but inquiring takes about three minutes and we turn it around fast. We don’t hold dates informally because it’s not fair to either of us. A quick inquiry means we can confirm properly and get the process started. Future you will appreciate not having to follow up.

Why does the availability calendar say ‘Pending’?

Usually one of two things: an inquiry has come in and we are in the process of booking, or we have a soft hold from a couple we are already talking to. Pending does not mean gone – reach out anyway. We will tell you honestly where things stand and what your options are.

We’re flexible on dates – can you tell us what’s open?

Yes. Send a few date options on this form or even a whole month and we will tell you what works. We would rather find a date that works for everyone than lose you to a calendar conflict.

We’re planning a wedding outside Snohomish and Seattle – do you travel?

Yes. We have photographed weddings all over Washington and travel throughout the United States. Put your location in the inquiry and we will tell you exactly what travel looks like for your specific wedding. We only charge travel fees in Washington if there is a ferry or overnight stay involved.

What if you’re booked?

We will tell you straight and point you toward other photographers we actually trust – people who will not ruin your day. Yes, that is a real list. We have high standards for who we recommend because your day matters even if we are not the ones there for it.

One more thing: If your date is available and you are on the fence about reaching out - reach out. The worst case is we are not the right fit and we tell you that honestly. The best case is you find your people. We are hoping for the second one.
