How did the two of you meet?
We originally met on a dating app back in September 2016. We dated briefly & then went our separate ways. In March 2018, we happened upon each other unexpectedly in downtown Portland (where Haley was living at the time)Washington State amp; started talking again. After spending a few months getting dinner or catching a movie whenever Kelly was passing through Portland or Haley was up in Seattle, in December 2018 we decided to give it another try. After a couple months of long-distance, Haley moved back up to Seattle & the rest is history!
How did the proposal happen?
There was not an official proposal. We decided to move out of the city & in January 2022 we closed on our first home together. Realizing how much work we have cut out for us to turn our five-acre plot of land into a food forest, we figured we would get the whole wedding thing taken care of asap so we can get right down to business on the farm! 🙂
