Looking for an awesome alternative to the traditional guest book? We’ve gathered 30+ ideas to make your guest record as unique as your wedding.

1. A calendar for the year of your wedding. Guests can sign on their birthdate or anniversary.

2. A custom bench or side table. Have guests sign with special wood pens. (shown above)

3. Postcards. You can either ask guests to bring one to the wedding already filled out, or you can provide them.

4. Recipe cards. This one is one that you’ll ask guests to bring with them, and you’d include the recipe cards in their invitations. Have a cute recipe box for guests to place the cards in.

5. Sea shells or Sand-dollars.

6. Wine Corks. Have a glass jar or shadowbox nearby to hold the completed ones.

7. Wine Bottles. Label as table numbers or important dates/anniversaries, have guests sign with metallic markers.

8. Mismatched plates. These would make a great display in your kitchen.

9. Table journals. Label them as table numbers or anniversaries, and people can leave notes of encouragement.

10. Board Games (like Monopoly, Risk, etc.) Guests can sign the board or the pieces.

11. Jenga game.

12. Quilt. There are two variations of this: One, the bring the piece of fabric that they’ve signed, and it’s later made into a quilt; or two, The quilt is already there and they choose a square to sign.

13. Cornhole Boards. Sign the boards and the bean bags!

14. Globe. Painted or unpainted.

15. Serving Platter. Don’t forget to seal it with a foodsafe sealant before use.

16. Map. Guests can sign next to their favorite places to visit, or places you should add to your Bucket List.

17. Planter Boxes and Seeds. Have guests plant a seed for your love, and mark it with a flag with their name.

18. Barn window. Have guests sign with glass sharpies.

19. Snowboard or Skis. Great for the couple that loves the slopes!

20. Hiking Book. Have them sign next to their favorite trail (or somewhere they want to go)

21. Puzzle Pieces. There is a great company that can make a puzzle from one of your photos, and then guests can sign the pieces. (shown below)

22. Thumbprint tree. A canvas with a bare tree printed on it, and ink pads. (shown above)

23. Locks of Love. Build a frame with chicken wire inside, and provide small locks. Guests can sign the locks and then attach them to the wire.

24. Keys to a Happy Marriage/Marriage Tips. Ask guests to give you marriage advice on a slip of paper. (shown above)

25. Vinyls. Purchase some vintage records and have guests sign them.

26. Bike helmets. All you need is a pair of bike helmets and markers.

27. Guided Questions. Lay out papers with prompts (what should we name our dog, where should we spend our first anniversary) and enjoy the responses!

28.  Holiday Ornaments. Guests can decorate or sign ornaments for your tree or table display in your home.

29. Guitar. This is a great one for the music enthusiast couple. (shown above)

30. Custom art. Guests can sign a wooden art piece, a print from your engagement photos, metal cutout, or even your Unity Art Piece.

31. Boat Paddles.

32. iPad video message. Have an iPad and instructions, and get a video guest book.

33. The gear or sports jersey from your favorite team. Think baseball bat, baseballs, football, helmet, etc.

  • You may have noticed something new around here. As we align our brands - @gsquaredwedding and @gsquaredsessions we felt that this best match for who we are as people. The mountain is one we see daily out our front windows - Mt Pilchuck. And the star - we both love stargazing and find a special magic in the stars (and the moon!). We are so excited to be rolling out the new GSquared just in time for @mysnohomishwedding Tour on May 31.
