Early in August, we photographed a COVID-compliant, socially distanced and masked Barn at Holly Farm Wedding.
How did the two of you meet?
Caleb and I met via a mutual friend at a church retreat weekend in Leavenworth, WA. We were involved in separate groups and I’m so glad the groups joined together for this retreat.
How did the proposal happen?
Caleb took Chelsea on a date after not seeing each other for a while due to COVID. Chelsea dressed up and Caleb took her for a walk in the woods at a local park before “going to his apartment for dinner”.
Caleb had chalkboards on a side path with how they met (making fish tacos), first date (picnic point beach),  their trip (Banff, Canada), and reasons why he loved Chelsea. At the end of the walkway, Caleb set up a covered sign (“Will You Marry Me?”) and a blanket set up with a picnic and pictures of our dating relationship. Caleb got down on one knee, popped the question and Chelsea said YES! We took pictures with Caleb’s roommate, also a photographer and sat down for a picnic. We came back to my house and celebrated with my roommates over steak and cheesecake while we called family and friends! It was magical and perfect!
P.S. I was surprised Caleb had a ring as everything was shut down due to COVID. Caleb planned ahead and picked out the most brilliant, beautiful ring!
