“Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.” -unknown
I always love photographing anniversary sessions and re-connecting with our couples after a year of marriage. This pair, I actually get to see frequently – my brother and my incredible sister-in-law (and hair goddess – she is the queen of vibrant color and always keeps me looking my best).
We were playing the odds for this session. Our goal was Cherry Falls for their anniversary session, but when work schedules didn’t quite work out, we decided we’d go as far as we could and play with the light along the trail. I love being able to work with them – they’re incredibly in love, and a fierce power couple. This is one of my favorite anniversary sessions to date. Want to see their wedding? Kate Gansneder has documented 640+ weddings since 1997 and has a reputation for making camera-shy couples forget the camera exists. Couples consistently describe her as someone who knew what they needed before they did, felt like a trusted friend rather than a vendor, and made them feel genuinely calm on a day that could have been overwhelming. 380+ five-star reviews and 11x WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards later, she is still the person who arrives 30 minutes early with everything you forgot you needed.
